Meet the Artist:  The King of Cardboard
Meet St. Louis’ cardboard artist.  Using old boxes and scraps, Justin King fashions large whimsical animals and other sculptures then places them in public for people to enjoy until time and weather take their toll on his work.  In this video, he talks about how he “got into” cardboard, the process for his work, and demonstrates techniques for creating a bust sculpted from cardboard.

Meet the Artist:  Nicario Jimenez
Nicario Jimenez is a retablos artist from the high Peruvian Andes.  Retablos are sophisticated folk art in the form of portable boxes filled with brightly colored figurines arranged into intricate narrative scenes.

Meet the Artist:  Laura Hohn
Laura Hohn’s pieces are wheel thrown and hand-built stoneware with an emphasis on bright colors, subtle details, textures and patterns.  In this video, she discusses her influences and processes and shares her passion for her work.
