Quick Ideas for Using the Video:

  • Have students respond to the interview with the artist Mr. Laskey. What insights into his process can they use in their own work. Use the interview as inspiration for student created videos that have them interview each other about work they are creating and exhibiting in class. Include the video as part of the exhibition or publish it online with images of the art work or use it in another forum of your choice.
  • Have students respond to the art work they see in the video. What do they like? Dislike? Have students write a review of the exhibition that includes commentary based on both artistic principles and personal preferences.

*Tours take students to laboratories, studios, workspaces, museums and other diverse “in the field” and community locations related to the area of study.
