STEAM V 1: How I Plan to Use STEAM and Arts Integration in My Classroom
0:36
Grades: K - 12

Video Description: Sponsored by the Missouri Alliance for Arts Education with generous financial support from Missouri Arts Council and Educate.Today, STEAM V:  A Creative Problem Solving Experience provided participants with two days of professional development focused on three different creative problem solving systems.  Designed to help teachers become more adept at teaching students techniques in meta cognition and “thinking outside the box,” the two days included presentations by STEAM artist and former educator Zack Smithey and hands-on workshops in Design Thinking, Disney Effect, and Accessing the Intuitive.

The video above provides one participant’s reaction to the two-day experience and an idea for incorporating what was learned into the classroom.
