Maps are amazing sources of information that help us better understand all sorts of fascinating aspects of our world. With the help of cartographers from the St. Louis County Geographic Information Systems Office, you will investigate maps and map making as you explore the big picture question, “How can maps help us solve problems?” Using free map making software available to you and your students, the experts will guide you through the steps necessary to build a map that solves a problem. The problem could be where to build a toy store, put a new road, or something that your students want answered. To enroll, click on the Sign Up button or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
