Talking with Authors: William H. Groner and Tom Teicholz, 9/12: The Epic Battle of the Ground Zero Responders
26:38
Grades: 9 - 12

Video Description: Nearly 3000 people died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks; many believe what was left when the twin towers crumbled will kill more than that. As thousands fled Ground Zero on 9/11, thousands more ran to the scene unselfishly wanting to help. 90-thousand people spent nine months cleaning it all up. While they searched for evidence and remains, they breathed a toxic stew of chemicals. They were assured the air was safe. And, when they became ill, no one would help. It would take a nine-year legal battle to change that. Mass tort litigation lawyer William Groner and journalist Tom Teicholz co-authored “9/12” about the unprecedented legal battle and the Ground Zero heroes who endured the seemingly insurmountable to eventually find legal victory.
