Quick Ideas for Using the Video:

  • For Discussion: Near the beginning of the video, the artist says, “In most of my work I’m really interested in facilitating a moment between the viewer and the subject that is really intimate.” What is student response to that statement. How well do they think the photographs seen in the video facilitate such a connection?
  • Activity Idea: Building on the discussion question above, have students view the artist’s photographs through that lens and utilize that concept in a photography project of their own.

*Tours take students to laboratories, studios, workspaces, museums and other diverse “in the field” and community locations related to the area of study.
