Grades: K - 12

On today’s episode I will be sitting down with Marsha Tuft. Marsha not only loves her family, dogs and butterflies, she also loves solving problems by coming up with her own designs. She’s a retired engineer, with degrees in mechanical, aerospace, and materials engineering, and enjoys developing experiments targeting girls to give them engaging experiences with science, engineering, and math. Because math is so important to success in STEM fields, Marsha creates experiments that show the magic and power of math.  Her passion is helping students survive and thrive in STEM fields and enjoys helping students understand how relevant and incredibly powerful math is. iHer goal is to inspire others to be successful, build the resilience that comes from learning from failure, and empower them to follow their dreams, even when it gets tough.

During this conversation we will be discussing the role of women/girls in STEM and why play is so important to problem-solving skills.
