Quick Ideas for Using our Helping Others Videos:

  • Use the videos as conversation starters as part of your character education curriculum.
  • Use the videos as examples of a “character education word of the week/month” project included in your character education curriculum. Have students share examples from the video where they see the word come to life.
  • Use the videos with journal prompts for students to write about as part of your character education curriculum.
  • Use the videos highlighting community service projects to inspire your students to create similar videos about volunteers and community service organizations in your town. As part of your character education curriculum share the videos on your school district website or other public forums of your choice.
  • Have students include insights gained through the videos as part of their projects, papers, and presentations on a character education-related subject by:
    • interpreting and/or summarizing what they saw and learned in the video.
    • citing quotations from the expert in the video.
