Quick Ideas for Using the Video:

  • Use the video as part of your health curriculum. Have students consider how foodscaping might benefit them and their health. If they were able to create a foodscape in their yard, what would they choose to grow? Why?
  • As part of an activity focused on community planning, have students find out if such foodscaping would be acceptable in their town. What ordinances might they be affected by? If ordinances needed to be changed, what would they say to advocate for foodscaping in people’s yards?
