Changing Face of Manufacturing

Grades: 7 - 12

Video Description: When many people think about manufacturing, the first image that may come to mind is of a large factory with workers on an assembly line churning out automobiles, military equipment, or other large-scale products. But the manufacturing process today is much more diverse than that and ever-advancing technology continues to change it. For this program, we explored the “changing face of manufacturing” and highlighted just how the relationship between technology, automation, and the manufacturing process continues to evolve . The conversation occurred during a collaborative product development meeting with student inventors and manufacturing professionals.
