Quick Ideas for Using our Creating the Production Videos:

• Foster an appreciation for theatre by gaining a better understanding of what it takes to create a theatre production.
• Give students the opportunity to learn by example by seeing how professionals have handled situations in creating a production that are similar to what students are dealing with in classroom or school productions.
• Use the videos with lesson plans you create centered on students problem solving or engaging in a simulation on a production situation as they study a specific role in theatre production such as director, designer, producer, actor, etc.
• Use the videos to highlight collaboration in theatre.
• Have students include insights gained through the videos as part of their projects, papers, and presentations on a theatre-related subject by:
  • interpreting and/or summarizing what they saw and learned in the video.
  • citing quotations from the expert in the video.
