Whether you’re studying slavery and the civil war with elementary, middle school, or high school students, you’ll find resources you can use in our Slavery and the Civil War resource package.  Videos, lesson plans, reading lists and related resources extend your students study in multiple ways.  Examples include:  historians discussing the the impact of Lincoln’s election and his efforts to pass the 13th Amendment as well as using the richness of primary sources to explore the records of slaves’ freedom suits and to bring the people and events of the Civil War to life.
