Quick Ideas for Using the Video:

  • For Discussion: Have students respond to the art as a critic and as a potential customer. What do they like about it? Whatt do they consider its strengths and weaknesses? Would they buy such art? Why or why not?
  • Activity Idea: Rather than sourcing felt, collect pieces of heavy fabric or cardboard for a upcycled art project. Working in teams of two, have students follow the process the artists take for their animal pieces; source images, combine into one drawing, then create the piece with the fabric or cardboard. Each student should have a specific role in the creation. Using their pieces, have an exhibition for the school with information on the materials used, animal created and the students’ roles.
