Abstract: The Discover Volvox Development (DVD) project builds a novel trend for collaborating with school communities to discover Volvox developmental mutants. To increase the library size of Volvox mutants, we’ve pioneered DVD with local schools and developed step-by-step photo protocols for teachers and students to follow. This versatile project may be adapted to different teaching needs, and we propose various ideas of incorporating DVD into school curricula.
