LaShell Eikerenkoetter’s life began to change on Aug. 9, 2014, the day Michael Brown was killed by a Ferguson police officer. During the protests in Ferguson, she emerged as a leader of the movement.  Eikerenkoetter is now an active civil rights activist in St. Louis known as ‘Ohun Ashe’, recently launching a website supporting black-owned businesses.
