The House of Thunder Project
Grades: 5 - 12

Most Americans have heard about the Battle of Bunker Hill, but have never heard of the Battle of St. Louis. And yet, some historians believe it was a critical inflection point in the American Revolutionary War, and helped save the American West.

Resources available in our House of Thunder Project give students a chance to explore events of the American Revolution from a “western America” perspective and to investigate the power of primary sources to influence learning and understanding. Resources include the full documentary, nine segments excerpted from the documentary, and activity ideas associated with each. All videos area available in the “Related Column” to the right; to view them click a thumbnail and become a member of Educate.Today.

For an overview of the documentary, view the preview video above.
