  • What emotions do students see Ms. Weissberger feeling and remembering as she shares her memory? What emotions did they feel as they heard her story? What do they think is the value of seeing and feeling those emotions as they study history?
    Activity Ideas:

  • At the end of the video, Ms. Weissberger mentions they were expelled from their town in Czechoslovakia. She ends up at a concentration camp in Terezin. As part of their study of the Holocaust as a class or in an individual or group project, have students learn more about the Nazi push into Czechoslovakia and the use of concentration camps as forced resettlement locations even earlier than the beginning of World War II.
