Video Description: View this program from the Saint Louis University Earthquake Center to investigate the science behind earthquakes, both causes and effects. See historic and current seismic equipment, differentiate between the fact and fiction of the historic New Madrid earthquakes of winter 1811-1812, and find out the prospects for “predicting” future earthquakes as you learn directly from geologists and seismologists. Our guest is Dr. Richard B. Hermann of the Saint Louis University Earthquake Center.
